Lucia is traumatised by the loss of her boyfriend, a writer, and hoping to find some peace she leaves her job in Madrid and settles on a quiet Mediterranean Island (are there any......really?). Once in this place of relative tranquillity Lucia begins to relive the intensity of her past relationship but as in the fashion of an intimate observer rather than a participant. Sex and Lucia is a gloriously sensuous film, resisting the intellectual navel gazing that often accompanies such adult topics as sex, it is both fresh and absorbing.
