Vincent is a successful businessman with a loving family whose life appears to be one of happy contentment, but when he loses his job, though relieved to escape the corporate grind, he knows his family will not appreciate this change in circumstances. To this end Vincent gives himself a fictitious new post, working as a business consultant for the UN, but his lack of income proves a thornier problem and he resorts to increasingly dubious dealings, persuading friends to invest in a hush-hush get rich quick scheme, in order to keep his loved ones in the dark. Time Out is based on true events and adapts to the screen as a powerful and moving (if deeply deluded) struggle for some kind of happiness. Highly recommended.
