Dave, Sam and Jeff are slackers supreme, but their gifted existence meets a particularly unpleasant hitch when they're caught cheating by geek supreme, Ethan. The boys have one option, set Ethan up with the most beautiful girl in college or find their 'academic' careers up the swanny. 'Slackers' is very much like many of the teen comedies that have gone before it, what saves it from relative oblivion is the fantastically psychotic performance of Schwartzman (Rushmore) as Ethan, a repellent, hypnotic and deranged genius.
