Plot

Based on Tolstoy's The Death of Ivan Ilyich, this film takes us through the last days in the life of a Hollywood agent, the eponymous Ivan, played beautifully by Danny Huston. After finding out some terrible news Ivan joins the non-stop party that is Hollywood - complete with its drugs, women and celebrities. Witnessing the kind of depraved hedonism that comes with knowing your time is up is disturbing and brilliantly portrayed in this whirlwind of a film. Gritty and real and fantastic.
