Sandrine decides to give up her life in the city for life as a simple country farmer and, from a viewer's point of view, has the decency to choose a particularly beautiful part of France. Her guardian, come thorn in the side, is old man of the land Adrien, an individual who has latched upon the word grumpy and created from it a life philosophy. The Girl From Paris is a simple, yet delightfully drawn, tale of two very different people finding first common ground and eventually mutual appreciation. A realist romance set on a mountain farm in the Alps, warm hearted and charming.
