It's the height of the cold war between Russia and America and in the two nations relentless acts of antagonism Russia sends her flagship nuclear submarine deep into American waters. Unfortunately for the crew of K19 one of the ship's reactors begins to leak and the men find themselves torn between their will to survive, loyalty to the motherland and a basic humanity towards their fellow man. Based on a true story K19 Widowmaker is a tense and often gripping drama done to a slick Hollywood schedule.
