The crew of a space station orbiting a hitherto unknown planet are plagued by visions both dark and euphoric. Confused and increasingly frightened by what is happening, psychologist Chris Kelvin is brought aboard to investigate. What Kelvin discovers is an otherworldly force of immense and unfathomable power, an omnipresent yet etheral entity that may provide him with a second chance of happiness or plunge him into an inescapable nightmare. Solaris is a remake of the revered Russian movie based on Stanislaw Lem's novel. A thoughtful, intelligent and visually striking skinny dip into the human psyche.
