This episode is based round the second book in the series, Dune Messiah. Twelve years have passed since Paul became emperor and the name of Muad'dib now rings with the sound of anguish for many within the system. The leader of House Corrino, Princess Wensicia continues to plot during her exile, Paul loses his sight, but has vision, Chani gives birth to his twin children, but dies in childbirth, and the ghola mentat Duncan faces a moment of truth.
