Mickey, Donald and Goofy take up their swords in this faithful adaptation of the Dumas classic novel of swashbuckling adventure and Quixotic nobility. Of course, some of the novels subtlety is lost in the animation process, but the story seems particularly well suited for Disneyfication. Princss Minnie's kingdom is overthrown in a coup led by Peg Leg Pete and his lieutenant Clarabelle and the Musketeers rally together to restore normality to the situation. The message is clear: together, we're stronger, and who can argue with that? The narrative is peppered with a few lacklustre songs, but it's exciting stuff.
