Plot

The fat funny man from Bolton plays a host of characters in this eclectic, if a little patchy, compendium of Coogan-esque dysfunctional characters. These include a country and western obsessed bus driver, a DJ for Chorley FM, an elderly paperboy called Leonard. More familiar characters crop up from time to time from his excellent series Phoenix Nights including Brian Potter and his stoic doorman Max. It's okay, but for my money, Steve Coogan or Rob Brydon are better character actors than Peter Kay, although at times, Kay creates something sublime like his northern Irish amateur actor...
