Plot

A yuppyish, though likable enough, couple take a diving holiday in the Caribbean, but their first day doesn't go well, in fact it goes "oh, that's my worst nightmare!" bad, because Daniel and Susan's stupidly forgetful dive boat companions head back to shore without them. Initial annoyance leads to fear, terror and finally fatigued resignation as the couple attempt to survive in the increasingly shark infested seas. Open Water is similar to ‘The Blair Witch Project' in that some people just didn't get why it was supposed to be frightening and the other half could never look a conifer in the eye at dusk again.
