Plot

Sarah Michelle Gellar utilises her amazing acting eyebrows to full effect in this Sam Raimi produced remake of the Japanese spookfest Juon' as she battles with a deadly curse born of rage and death. Directed by Takashi Shimizu who helmed the original and using some of the same cast, The Grudge doesn't offer anything new to those who have sampled the original but should satisfy those unfamiliar with j-horror and resistive to those pesky subtitles, providing more bumps and jumps than your average American fear film.
