Anna's husband died a number of years ago when the two were still only recently wed, a tragedy that has taken the fragile widow a considerable amount of time to come to terms with. Just as it would seem Anna's life is finally moving on a young boy enters her world and solemnly informs her that he is the reincarnation of her dead love. Birth is directed by Jonathan Glazer, the genius behind 'Sexy Beast' and while it lacks that film's brutal intensity it has a familiar unnerving quality.
