What do you do when you've devoted your life to being someone else and you've reached a stage in your career when nobody's interested in sharing the illusion anymore? This is the dilemma facing Eddie Presley, an Elvis impersonator who has fallen on hard times both in his bookings and his life. Having got himself a gig at a seedy nightclub, Eddie's performance degenerates into a public breakdown, a turn of events that will alter not just his life but the entire audience's.
