The original prequel that was shelved in favour of the Renny Harlin abomination follows a similar narrative with a young Father Merrin fighting Pazuzu in the heart of post-WW2 colonial Africa. More atmospheric and without as many truely hokey special effects as 'The Beginning' but still nothing to write home about.
