In 1995, two best mates set out to fool the world. In fact, they need to. Having borrowed £30,000 from A local gangster for footage of an alien autopsy which transpires to be useless, the pair must find a way to recreate the fabled dissection and hoodwink a sceptical public into parting with their cash. Alien Autopsy has a surprising lightness of touch, an affectionate look at its two unlikely heroes and during the "autopsy" itself some genuinely gaspingly hilarious scenes, topped off by a nice tag line…"The truth isn't out there".
