THE GREAT MCGINTY (1940)
PRESTON STURGES
Plot
While not his best work, this film by one of the early masters of screwball comedy, Preston Sturges, still reeks of quality. It is seldom outright funny, but it's captivating by its peculiar charm and high production value. The movie has a tone that firmly sets Sturges apart from the Capra-Corn genre he is sometimes thrown in.
