NEIL YOUNG: HEART OF GOLD (2005)
JONATHAN DEMME
Plot
Heart of Gold is Jonathan Demme's intimate musical portrait of legendary singer / songwriter Neil Young, filmed on the occasion of the world premier of Young's "Prairie Wind" in concert at Nashville's hallowed Ryman Auditorium in 2005. Less conceptual than his seminal documentary Stop Making Sense, (based around a performance from the Talking Heads) Heart of Gold is a nostalgic and stripped down portrait of one of the greatest singer-songwriters of our times.
