Dean Stiffle lives in the mundanely surreal world that is upper-middle-class American suburbia, and, while his cynicism remains alive and kicking, he is slipping into the listless complacency of his adult peers. It is only the death of his friend, the neighbourhood's local supplier, that forces Dean out of his apathy. Now, under some serious pressure from the dealers at school, Stiffle Jr is about to embark on a reluctant adventure. 'Chumscrubber' is a witty, good naturedly satirical slice of American indie cinema, nicely performed and tightly directed.
