Ben isn't just a slobby slacker he's a Zen master of the much under-rated art of idiocy, an achievement only surpassed by his awesomely challenged buddies. Into Ben's world drunkenly stumbles beautiful, ambitious Alison and two months after an ill advised night of duvet theft she finds herself pregnant. Knocked Up plays like an older generation version of 'American Pie', a coming of age movie about no hopers making good; fun, foolish, occasionally gut bustlingly spot on and, towards the end, just a wee bit saccharine.
