LADY CHATTERLEY (2006)
PASCALE FERRAN
Plot
Trapped in a passionless marriage to an invalid husband, in whose country estate she is isolated, the aristocratic young Constance finds unlikely solace in the taciturn form of gamekeeper Parkin and, despite their diametrically opposed backgrounds, they unlock in each other a profound and previously undiscovered desire. 'Lady Chatterley' may be about sex, but it should not be confused with previous adaptations which have abused the soft core template of the novel. This is a beautifully shot evocative portrayal of awakening passion and the slow fumbling development of a truly erotic relationship.
