When a brutal and unprovoked attack leaves New York radio host Erica Bain (Jodie Foster) badly beaten and her fiancé dead her perfect life is turned upside down. Unable to move past the tragedy, Erica arms herself and takes to the streets to dispense her own form of justice. With the public fascinated with the exploits of the unknown vigilante and the NYPD desperate to find the culprit she must decide whether her quest for revenge is truly the right path or if she is becoming the very thing she is trying to stop.
