Dennis is a likeable loser who ditched his pregnant fiancée, Libby, at the altar 5 years ago. Now he is desperate to show that he's changed and so pits his feeble physical prowess against Libby's new boyfriend and serial marathonist, Whit, in a race... but Dennis needs to get into shape fast! Getting help from unexpected quarters, his landlord Mr Ghoshdashtidar and his feckless best mate Gordon, Dennis's credibility is now seriously exposed. Under such scrutiny can the underdog triumph?
