Plot

An ageing movie star finds himself forced to contemplate a low budget film in order to make ends meet, but, while in a poor Latin neighborhood researching his role as the manager of a small supermarket, he finds himself hooking up with a beautiful, frustrated check-out girl. The two hitch up and spend an afternoon driving around LA comparing notes about life. "10 Items Or Less" is an odd dramatic comedy and while the two leads are likeable enough its stabs at satire are weak and out of place with its ultimately sweet-natured heart.
