Emotionally scarred from years of tracking down sex offenders obsessive case-worker Babbage battles his own demons as he hunts for a missing girl, whom he's sure has been abducted by one of his 'flock' of paroled criminals. Through this dark and brutal world it is only his protege, Allison, who remains as his moral compass and she is the only person who can save him from his own looming insanity as they try to solve the case.
