STEP BROTHERS (2008)
ADAM MCKAY
Plot
Brennan Huff, a barely employed thirty-nine-year-old, lives with his mother Nancy. Dale Doback, a terminally unemployed forty-year-old, lives with his father Robert. All is perfect for our narcissistic, emotionally stunted middle-aged boys until Nancy and Robert meet, fall in love, get married and move in together. Brennan and Dale are forced to share a room and both are horrified by the self-absorbed immaturity of the other, but the more they bicker and plot the closer their exasperated parents come to finally chucking the two cuckoos from the family nest. 'Step Brothers' is classic Will Ferrell fare, quite a few hits, a number of misses and one or two moments of inspired genius all helped considerably by the beady eyed dead faced brilliance that is John C Reilly (Walk Hard).
