Based on Philip Roth's short novel, 'The Dying Animal', 'Elegy' is a deeply affecting drama about the power of passion to blur the lines between love and obsession. David Kepesh (Ben Kingsley) is a middle-aged college professor who lives a life of "emancipated manhood". That is, until one of his students, the beautiful Consuela Castillo (Penelope Cruz), catches his eye and immediately he is consumed by passion.
