OSS 117 CAIRO NEST OF SPIES (2006)
MICHEL HAZANAVICIUS
Plot
So you thought that the Brits had a monopoly on suave action heroes posing as secret agents and saving the world from the latest deadly menacing megalomaniac? Well think again - meet OSS 117, his accident prone French equivalent, played by superbly cast French comedian Jean Dujardin (he even looks like Connery), saving the Egyptians from religious fanatics, Nazis, dastardly Russians, monarchists, incompetent chicken farmers, their clothes (at least in the case of beautiful women) and midnight wailing from Mosques, amongst other dangers, hence bringing the place the peaceful conditions for 'civilization' to develop. There's a definite touch of Closeau doing Bond in this clever satire/spy spoof.
