Plot

Against a background of the rhythms of nature and a beautiful mountainous hinterland we follow the trials and tribulations of three pre-teen children each growing up under the predominately repressive peasant rules of life in a small traditional Turkish hill village. Ömer, the son of the imam, wishes hopelessly for the death of his father. Yakup is in love with his teacher and Yildiz studies and tries to manage the household works imposed on her by her mother.
