Iron Mike's friend, writer and director James Toback, steered him through an interview which forms the spine of this 'ghost written autobiography' - soon after he'd left rehab and when he appeared in a particularly reflective mood. The talking head stuff is mixed in with lots of documentary clips to give us a fascinating walk through of his life; his upbringing, his criminal childhood, his failed marriage, his conviction for rape, Don King - 'a slimy reptilian mother^&*$er', the grubby ending to his boxing days et al.
