Plot

Hard-bitten, down at her heels, heavy drinking Julia has little going for her in her life, that is until a barely known widowed Latina neighbour entices her into kidnapping her only son from his rich gringo grandparent and taking him home to Mexico. The amatuerish attempt is somewhat bungled and Julia soon finds herself on the Mexican side of the border with the boy re-kidnapped by seriously nasty dudes. Now she must stop drinking, get her act together and play all sides against each other in a serious bid both for her own survival and that of the child.
