Picking up where the low budget original left off, and clearly an homage to 1980s slasher flicks, 'My Bloody Valentine' begins as violently as it means to go on. In a small Pennsylvania town, ten years after a horrific mining accident, sole survivor Harry Warden awakes from his coma (on Valentine's Day) and brutally pickaxes 22 young party-goers. Many years pass and the killings begin again... has Harry returned from the dead or is there a copy-cat in town? Farcical and gorey, this is a relatively standard exploitation-horror that is sometimes funny, often frustrating, but always bloody.
