Plot

Lucy Hill is a high-powered Miami consultant sent to the wintry wilderness of a small town in Minnesota to oversee the restructuring of a manufacturing plant that's the life blood of the community. Not surprisingly, Lucy doesn't get on too well with the locals who suspect she's just there to deprive them of their livelihood. What follows is a 'buy the numbers' fish out of water comedy, replete with bonding, love interest and big low to make the big high higher. 'New In Town' is nowhere near as bad as the critics claim, but then it's not good enough to defend with much conviction either.
