This is art house director Ceylan's most mainstream offering to date; of man's willingness to prey on the weak, 'Three Monkeys' tells the story of a family whose father has made a devil's bargain, agreeing to plead guilty to his boss's crime and serve time in exchange for cash. The effect on the lives of his already dysfunctional family (wife and teenage son) is devastating, but they all attempt to avoid reality by covering their eyes and ears to it.
