We are now back to the time just after the computers decided earth might be a happier place without us dumb bipeds relentlessly failing to grasp the basics of desktop publishing. John Connor, the saviour of humanity, would seem to be on the losing side, what with the new breed of terminator, decimated pockets of resistance and the fact that Skynet has decided his dad is number one priority for elimination. This fourth installment of the creaking Terminator franchise is no re-invention, but as an undemanding, high end action flick with some pretty slick fight and flight scenes it passes the time effectively.
