Plot

Parnassus is a travelling teller of tales who has had a centuries long rivalry with the devil, including trading in souls for romantic gain. The public now has a choice, the pub or listening to Parnassus... and if you go to the pub the devil (Tom Waits) wins... or something like that in this bizarre Terry Gillam fantasy. The movie can most be noted for the unfortunate death of Heath Ledger during shooting and the somewhat difficult decisions that had to be made as to how to finish the movie.
