Tilda Swinton takes the star turn as the wife of filthy rich Milanese industrialist Tancredi Recchi and much of the film takes place in their opulent mansion. It is here that sexual attraction, romance and personal/female liberation will lead to a family crisis for these members of the haute bourgeoisie. Cerebral stuff.
