Plot

When two brilliant young scientists, Clive and Elsa, are banned from their project, splicing together DNA from different species, they secretly carry on, creating, from animal and human DNA, Dren, an eerie hybrid creature. Dren soon develops from innocent infant to unruly adolescent and, while Elsa takes on a mothering role, Clive finds himself sexually attracted. A disturbing diatribe on the monstrosity of humans and a topical aside on the ethical issues latent on our scientific boundaries. From the director of 'The Cube' and 'Cypher' we can expect an interesting movie and that's what we get. Cronenbergian.
