Set before the events of the first film we discover that the central character Katie has a sister, living in the LA suburbs, who’s just given birth to a son. Though this second film takes way too long to get going, it’s a better made and acted affair, and while the attempts to explain the reason for the evil is sort of pointless, it throws in a fair number of jumps as the story moves towards its climax.
