Once the ugly duckling of the rural Dorset village of Ewedown, Tamara Drewe returns to the family home as a glamorous journalist, rekindling old passions and generally causing a mighty fluster amongst the upper middle class residents. Tamara Drew is an adaptation of Posy Simmond’s graphic novel; a micro world populated almost entirely by the morally skewed and stereotyped caricature, it lacks wit, charm, insight or empathy. On the bright side it’s not too long and Gemma sure is ‘priddy’.
