A young girl is institutionalised by her abusive stepfather. Retreating to an alternative reality as a coping strategy, she envisions a plan which will help her escape from the mental facility. Hmm... How to follow the homoerotic romp that was '300'? Well, you could make '301' and play it safe... OR you could make a film like 'Sucker Punch' to show all those teasing bullies that you're as heterosexual as the next man. Snyder chooses the latter, and walks the fine line between 'sexy action flick' and 'sleazy male fantasy' with mixed results.
