Adapted from Ayelet Waldman’s novel the central character is Emilia, a Harvard law school graduate and a newlywed, after falling in love with her, at the time married, boss, Jack. But Emilia’s idyll is short lived after a tragic death and as she struggles to cope with her grief she must also contend with her husband’s bitter ex, Carolyn, and his precocious son William. A tearful, though often witty drama about dealing with loss, love and family.
