Plot

A spin-off from the 2006 film 'This Is England', but set three years later, 'This Is England '86' focuses on the mod revival scene rather than the skinhead subculture. Though the mini-series stars much of the same cast as the film Shaun (Thomas Turgoose) plays a less central role and the series's main character is Lol (Vicky McClure). Against the backdrop of the1986 FIFA World Cup and, as he completes his last school exam, Shaun realises he will have to find his way in the world. His friends, who include Woody, Lol, Smell, Gadget and Meggy, are still around, looking for love, entertainment and employment.
