Based on Ranulph Fiennes's novel, which was itself allegedly based on a real story, ‘Killer Elite’ sees the uncompromising and duplicitous world of government sanctioned assassination given a sodding unlikely run for its money. Set in the 70’s Statham’s moralistic killer finds himself head to head with Britain’s black op’s when his mentor is kidnapped by a vengeful Arab tribal chief. An old style action thriller that doesn’t always work but moves at a suitably slaughterous pace.
