Eddie Murphy is Chandler Jarell, the hippest social worker in LA, he's also "the chosen one". This means that he has to shoot off to Tibet, where a really evil special effects team are holding the "Golden Child" - a boy whose mystic powers stop the world being destroyed - a prisoner. Wicked fun!!!
