THE GREAT WALDO PEPPER (1975)
GEORGE ROY HILL
Plot
A biplane pilot, who missed combat in WWI by being assigned as a flight instructor, becomes an entertainer and eventually gets a chance to prove himself in a film depicting dog fights from the Great War. Frank Tallman provided the magnificent flying sequences, using actual planes - not models, and it is notable that Robert Redford performed his own wing-walking stunts in the film. Visually spectacular with a series of fantastic stunts.
