First of the enjoyable, though unsophisticated, comedies based on the unruly girls and inept staff at a second rate boarding school. Joyce Grenfell plays a clumsy young police sergeant gone undercover to investigate the girls' dubious goings-on, let's face it using the chemistry lab to distill moonshine is a bit much, but it's a very young George Cole and Alistair Sim in drag who steal the show, unless you've got a thing about gymslips!
