Lulu is a streetwise narcotics cop with a hatred of drugs in this hard-hitting account of the Paris drug squads' attempts to clean up the streets. The gritty neo-realist intensity shown by Tavernier was a result of experiencing the real-life side of drugs squad activities. A documentary style police drama/policier.
