Rain City, (actually Seattle), in a disintegrating Waste Land West is the surreal backdrop for this moody, atmospheric thriller of urban lowlife and alienation. Framed ex-cop Hawk emerges from prison to hang out in old flame Wanda's diner, but here he falls for a blonde princess who has moved with her poverty stricken hubby to the city to make money. In the background hangs sly crook Solo, and behind him gangster Hilly.
