A magnificent, mesmerising drama loosely based on the apparently true story of two little girls who were photographed with the fairies that lived at the bottom of their garden. We begin at the turn of the century, with the tragic death of photographer Charles Castle's bride of a day. The devastated Charles initially becomes a WW1 snapper, and returns to England to devote himself to exposing the spiritual swindlers sweeping the nation. But when he's approached by a woman bearing a picture of her young daughter holding a fairy, he's forced to consider the possibility that this is no fake. A stunning and sensitive exploration of faith and the search for truth.
